Fundraising & Donor Support

Friends Fiduciary provides several support services to assist Friends meetings, organizations and development staff. These include:

  • Calculations that illustrate and compare the benefits of a charitable gift annuity or the various types of charitable trusts.
  • Processing of securities gifts from your donors. (This eliminates the need for your organization to set up brokerage accounts for the sole purpose of receiving gifts).
  • Assistance to donors who wish to contribute gifts of real estate or other tangible assets to your organization (in partnership with the Mennonite Foundation).
  • Resources and educational opportunities

Bi-annual Fundraising Gathering

Our biannual Fundraisers Gathering offers the opportunity to gather with others who are raising funds for Quaker organizations. The gathering combines learning from presenters and gaining inspiration from peers. The most recent gathering was held on September 25-26, 2011 at the Marriott Hotel & Convention Center at Penn Square, Lancaster, PA. The Pearl Within theme provided an educational and inspiring conference for those promoting and raising funds for our distinctive Quaker organizations and meetings. The Gathering attracted a record number of participants representing over 50 Quaker and affiliated organizations. Click here for keynote address by Mary Ellen McNish, former General Secretary of American Friends Service Committee. The next gathering will take place in September 2013 contact Melissa Stoner in the Fiduciary office for more information.

Friends Fiduciary continues to look for new ways to support Quaker organizations and their donors. We look forward to working with you as we build on this foundation. Please contact our Melissa Stoner, Program Director, for more information on any of these resources.
